After 28 years at MSD in clinical research and then in medical affairs in charge of real-world studies, public-private partnerships, and early access, she chose to devote herself to various activities related to scientific research and the involvement of patients and citizens in research.
She is the President of the FIAC Stakeholder Committee, a member of SEINTINELLES, co-lead of the “Patient Adherence” group for the Health Data CSF, and a member of the Scientific Councils of the INSERM Transfert early development unit and the MSDAVENIR endowment fund.
Since 2019, Brigitte Courtois has headed the Research and Innovation Department of the Lille University Hospital, one of the largest structures of its kind in France with nearly 350 employees, some twenty research units (for which the University Hospital is a joint supervisor), and a multi-sectoral CIC.
She leads major structural projects and is involved in coordinating relations with the University of Lille, the EPSTs, and EURASANTE.
In parallel, she serves as Director of the G4 Health Cooperation Group, which brings together the University Hospitals of Amiens, Caen, Lille, and Rouen on major university hospital mission themes. She has established the foundations for a future interregional health data hub. Finally, she is a member of the National Research Innovation Commission of the Conference of University Hospitals.
Christian Puppinck, a physician, has successively invested himself in care (general practitioner), public health and economics (Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the SS des IEG), and prevention (occupational physician).
He led the Biocarte project, contributed to the European AIM (Advanced Informatics in Medicine) project, and worked with the European Commission in the fields of Health, Social Affairs, and the Environment.
Suffering from CLL, he created the support and information association “SILLC” and participated in the InCa Health Democracy Committee. He is currently a director of the AI & Cancers Sector.
Guy has extensive experience in France, Europe, and globally through his many roles at Merck & Co/MSD, a world leader in the pharmaceutical industry, where he served, among other roles, as Managing Director for MSD in France, General Manager for the Merck / Schering Plough Joint Venture worldwide, and Worldwide Senior Vice President for the Cardiovascular Franchise.
In 2013, Guy also created and led for 5 years Healthcare Services & Solutions, a specific legal entity belonging to the Merck & Co Group dedicated to the development and commercialization of innovative “beyond-the-pill” digital solutions, a unique and successful initiative by a pharmaceutical company to innovate at scale in the field of digital health solutions.
From 2018, Guy put his experience to work for the French ecosystem through roles such as Partner at Nextep, a health strategy consulting firm, then as an independent Senior Advisor, and also as a teacher in the Master in Global Health Policy on Digital Health topics at Sciences Po Paris, a Qualified Personality on the Strategic Health Sector Committee, Director at SATT Lutech Sorbonne, Deeptech Expert for BPI, and consultant and/or director for various public and private organizations.
Guy is a graduate of Ecole Centrale de Paris in Applied Mathematics and a graduate of Sciences Po Paris.
